Russia struck a Ukrnafta gas station following the announcement that the fundraising campaign for the Charter had ended

A Russian “Shahed”-type jet drone attacked the “Ukrnafta” gas station complex in Kyiv. Reports indicate that there are casualties among people who were near the gas station as a result of the attack.

Prior to this, Ukrnafta announced that it had officially concluded its “Energetic Collection” charity project. The campaign raised 100 million hryvnias for the Second Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine, “Charter.”

The project launched on February 1, 2025. Over the course of eight months, the company donated 1 hryvnia from every liter of 95 Energy gasoline and diesel fuel, every cup of coffee, every hot dog, and every item with a red price tag from its partners to support the Ukrainian military.

Serhiy Fedorenko, acting head of Naftogaz, has already responded to the Russian strike, noting that the attack made no military sense.

“There is absolutely no military logic here—it’s simply the enemy’s act of terror and an attempt to intimidate people,” he said

At the same time, warnings about attacks on gas stations in the capital had been circulating on social media the day before, and a list of targets at risk had even been published.

Gas stations at the following addresses may be targeted by rocket-powered UAVs:

46A Akademika Palladina Ave.;
25 Stepan Bandera Ave.;
17 Roman Shukhevych Ave.;
210 Kharkiv Highway;

The “Ukrnafta” gas station, which was struck by the Russian Federation, was not on the list but is located near one of the targets.

The occupiers attacked the gas station in Kyiv’s Holosiivskyi District twice. After the first strike, a passenger car caught fire at the scene, and a public transportation stop and an 8-story non-residential building were damaged.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops carried out 989 strikes on 53 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. The occupiers carried out the vast majority of the attacks using drones—in 24 hours, the Russians launched 790 UAVs across the region.
