Russia struck industrial infrastructure in the Odesa region

Russian troops launched an attack on the Odesa region. Industrial infrastructure came under fire, and an administrative building, a warehouse, and vehicles were damaged. Following the attack, a fire broke out on the company’s premises, which emergency responders quickly extinguished. According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties.

 

Russian occupiers shelled the Odesa region, causing damage to industrial infrastructure. This was reported by Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration. According to him, the strike hit the grounds of one of the industrial facilities.

As a result of the attack, a two-story administrative building was damaged. Windows were shattered and structural elements were damaged. In addition, a warehouse building was completely destroyed, after which a fire broke out at the site. “A two-story administrative building was damaged, and the windows were shattered. A warehouse was also destroyed, leading to a fire,” Oleg Kipper said. According to the regional governor, the fire was quickly extinguished. Units of the State Emergency Service were on the scene.

In addition to the buildings, the strike damaged 13 passenger cars that were nearby. Experts are currently continuing to inspect the impact site and assess the full extent of the damage.

According to preliminary data, no one was injured as a result of the Russian shelling. “According to preliminary information, there are no casualties,” noted the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration. Authorities are urging residents of the region not to ignore air raid sirens, as the threat of new Russian attacks remains. He wrote about this on Telegram.

As a reminder, on the night of July 8, strike drones of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a military airfield in Borisoglebsk, Voronezh Oblast, Russia. This airbase is home to aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces, which are used for both combat and training missions.

Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have reduced the Russian army’s strength by another 1,260 troops. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released updated data on enemy losses as of July 8, also reporting the destruction of a significant amount of enemy equipment.
