Russia reported the destruction of 31 drones over its territory
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation issued a statement announcing the neutralization of 31 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the airspace of several regions of the country.
According to the ministry, most of the drones were intercepted in border regions. This is another instance of drone activity over Russian territory.
The largest number of UAVs was recorded over Belgorod region, where 22 drones were destroyed. In Krasnodar Krai, Russian air defense reportedly shot down four drones.
Two more UAVs were neutralized over Rostov region, which also borders Ukraine.
One drone each was destroyed in the airspace of Astrakhan, Bryansk, and Kursk regions. All of these regions are located at varying distances from the Ukrainian border.
The Russian ministry traditionally does not provide details on possible consequences of the attacks or the objects that may have been targeted.
