Russia Is Using a New Tactic in Its Attacks on Ukraine – Flash
Russian forces have moved into a new phase of attrition warfare, expanding the list of targets for airstrikes. In addition to military facilities, logistics centers, warehouses, industrial plants, and commercial infrastructure are increasingly coming under attack.
This was reported by Sergey Beskrestnov (“Flash”), an advisor to the president on the development of defense technologies and an expert in radio technology.
The expert shared his assessment following another massive Russian attack on Kyiv on the night of August 5. “The enemy is attacking everything in sight: retail warehouses, food warehouses, logistics hubs, industrial facilities, and construction material warehouses,” Beskrestnov noted.
In his view, such strikes indicate a shift in Russia’s approach to waging war. Whereas previously the main focus was on military targets and energy infrastructure, civilian economic facilities that support logistics, trade, and business operations are now under systematic attack.
The expert described this as a new phase of a war of attrition, aimed at exerting maximum economic pressure on Ukraine by destroying the infrastructure necessary for businesses to operate and for the population to be supplied with goods.
Casualties among the personnel of the Russian occupation forces in the full-scale war against Ukraine have begun to outpace the rate of mobilization efforts in the Russian Federation.
