On the night of July 8, the Russian army launched a missile attack on Kharkiv. According to preliminary reports, strikes were recorded in the Osnovyansky and Nemyshlyansky districts of the city; emergency services are on the scene, and the extent of the damage and information about casualties are being assessed.

The first reports of the attack’s aftermath emerged around 1:45 a.m.

“Missile strikes have been recorded in the Osnovyanskyi district. The consequences are being assessed,” said Ihor Terekhov.

Just a few minutes later, the mayor reported another strike.

“We are also confirming a missile strike in the Nemyshlyanskyi district,” he noted.

As of 2:03 a.m., the initial consequences of the strike on the Nemyshlyanskyi district became known.

“More than 10 private homes were damaged as a result of a missile strike in the Nemyshlyanskyi district. All relevant emergency services are on the scene,” the mayor said.

As a reminder, Russian forces struck Odesa—there are casualties, and infrastructure has been damaged.

The strike on Odesa was carried out with a missile equipped with a cluster warhead.
