Russia attacked the energy system again: details from “Ukrenergo”

During the night, Russian forces carried out another massive strike on the energy infrastructure of Donetsk region.

Damage was recorded at several energy facilities, leaving a significant portion of consumers in the region without electricity.

According to Ukrenergo, the nature of the damage indicates targeted strikes on key elements of the energy system. Specialists are currently assessing the scale of the damage and determining priority areas for restoration.

Emergency restoration work is underway wherever the security situation allows. Energy workers are operating in an intensified mode, as some equipment requires not only repair but full replacement.

The company emphasizes that the main goal is to restore power to consumers as quickly as possible and stabilize the energy system. At the same time, due to the threat of repeated attacks, some facilities may be restored gradually.

Since the start of the year, eight massive missile and drone attacks on the energy system have forced Ukraine to implement large-scale consumption restrictions. Currently, all regions follow power limitation schedules for industrial enterprises and businesses.

For households, hourly power outages are applied, which may cover 2.5 to 4 rotation cycles. This regime helps keep the energy system balanced and prevents larger-scale emergency shutdowns.

The Ministry of Energy reports that as of the morning, electricity is still out for consumers in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions.
