Russian drone hits evacuation team in Donetsk region, one killed and several injured

On the morning of March 20, Russian forces carried out a drone strike on a vehicle belonging to the Proliska humanitarian mission in the Donetsk region. As a result of the attack, one person was killed and several others were injured.

This was reported with reference to a Facebook post by Yevhen Kaplin, head of the Proliska humanitarian mission.

According to him, the strike targeted an evacuation team in the settlement of Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka.

“Unfortunately, there are wounded and one fatality. We are currently doing everything possible to get the injured to hospital. More details will follow,” Kaplin said.

Over the past 24 hours, the Donetsk region has come under 16 enemy attacks.

An expert previously said that Russia’s occupation of the Donetsk region could take at least two years.

Four civilians were reported killed in the region over the past day.

Fighting along the front line remains intense, with nearly 50 clashes recorded in a single day, the heaviest of which were reported near Pokrovsk.

Russian forces also carried out nearly 1,600 strikes across the Donetsk region over the past 24 hours, resulting in casualties.

It was also reported that parts of the Odesa, Donetsk, and Kharkiv regions were left without power following drone strikes.

In total, the Donetsk region came under 22 attacks over the past day, with civilian casualties reported.
