Russians attacked police officers who were on their way to evacuate people in the Kharkiv region with an FPV drone
On the morning of August 3, Russian troops used an FPV drone to attack a police crew that was on its way to evacuate residents of the Kupiansk district in the Kharkiv region. Andriy Kanashevych, head of the Kupiansk District Military Administration, reported this on Suspilne TV.
According to him, the law enforcement officers were traveling to the village of Fedorivka in the Vilkhuvatska community to evacuate local residents.
“This morning, while carrying out evacuation operations, a police crew was attacked. The vehicle was destroyed; fortunately, the officers spotted the FPV drone in time and abandoned the vehicle,” Kanashevich said.
He noted that the Vilkhuvatska community is under constant Russian shelling, and the high activity of FPV drones significantly complicates movement and evacuation efforts.
The head of the Regional Military Administration urged residents not to delay leaving dangerous settlements, emphasizing that as winter approaches, the security situation could deteriorate even further.
Currently, mandatory evacuations are underway in all eight communities of the Kupiansk district. According to Kanashevich, despite this, more than 12,000 people still remain in the district, whereas approximately 135,000 lived there before the start of the full-scale invasion.

As a reminder, over the past 24 hours, Russian troops carried out 954 strikes on 54 settlements in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. One person was killed and another was wounded as a result of the shelling.
In Kharkiv, a Russian strike drone hit a gas station in the city’s Shevchenkivskyi district. The attack caused an emergency at the site of the strike.
