Russians attacked Zaporizhzhia region with guided aviation bombs: three injured
The situation in Zaporizhzhia region is tense again — Russian forces carried out a series of strikes, and explosions were reported across the region.
The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, stated that the situation remains critical and urged residents not to ignore air raid alerts.
He advised that people should stay in safe locations until the official all-clear is given, avoid going outside unless absolutely necessary, and not approach windows. Authorities stress that even if it seems the danger has passed, returning to normal routines immediately is not safe.
According to the Air Forces, the enemy used guided aerial bombs — so-called KABs — targeting the city of Zaporizhzhia. This type of weapon is particularly dangerous as it allows Russian aviation to strike from a relatively safe distance, outside the range of Ukrainian air defenses.
Guided bombs carry significant destructive power and are often aimed at critical, industrial, or residential infrastructure. Each such strike poses a potential risk of numerous casualties and serious damage.
Later, Ivan Fedorov clarified that one of the strikes hit industrial infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia. Preliminary reports indicate one person was injured and is receiving medical care. Damage to enterprises not only causes direct losses and operational downtime but also affects the economy, jobs, and logistics. Local authorities emphasize that each strike is a deliberate attempt to paralyse city and regional life.
The second strike, according to the Regional Military Administration, targeted a populated area in Zaporizhzhia region. Preliminary reports indicate that two people were injured, and their condition is being confirmed.
Emergency services, rescuers, and law enforcement are working on-site, assessing the damage and collecting evidence for documenting war crimes. Residents are advised not to approach the impact sites, not to touch unexploded ordnance, and to report suspicious items to rescuers.
