The Russians have intensified their pressure along the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka fronts
Over the past 24 hours, on August 26, there were 229 combat engagements along the front line, with Russian forces launching the most attacks in the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka sectors. Ukrainian troops repelled 31 enemy assaults in the Pokrovsk direction and another 28 in the Kostiantynivka direction.
The enemy carried out 88 airstrikes, dropping 294 guided bombs.
In addition, Russian invaders deployed 11,150 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,288 rounds of shelling, 47 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems.
Artillery shelling targeted Vintorivka, Korenok, Kindrativka, Korchakivka, Kruzhok, Bachivsk, Sopych, Atynske, Neskuchne, Volfyne, Bezsalivka, and Yastrubshchyna in Sumy Oblast.
The Defense Forces’ aviation, missile forces, and artillery struck nine command posts, seven areas of troop concentration, three artillery systems, 10 UAV command posts, and three other key Russian targets.
Ten combat engagements took place in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors. The Russians carried out 52 shelling attacks and launched three airstrikes using six guided bombs.
In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, Ukrainian units repelled 10 attacks. The invaders attempted to advance in the areas of Prylipka, Starytsia, Synelnykove, Vilcha, Lyman, and Vovchanski Khutory. In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy launched one offensive toward Radkivka.
In the Lyman direction, the invaders launched seven attacks in the Lyman area and toward Hrekivka and Novoselivka. In the Sloviansk sector, the enemy carried out six assaults in the areas of Ozerny, Zakitny, Kryva Luka, and toward Mykolaivka. In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian invaders carried out three offensive operations in the areas of Fedorivka Druha and Nykyforivka.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, 28 attacks took place. The invaders carried out assaults in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Novoselivka, Rusyn Yar, Novyi Shakhovyi, and toward Mykolaipillia.
The enemy carried out 31 attacks in the Pokrovsk sector. The invaders attempted to advance toward Bilytske, Vasylivka, Serhiivka, Svitlyi, Novyi Donbas, Myrne, Filiia, Novopavlivka, and in the areas of Udachne, Novooleksandrivka, and Molodetske.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy carried out five attacks toward Piddubne and in the Rybne area. In the Huliaipole sector, the Russian army attacked nine times, attempting to advance toward Vozdvizhivka, Dobropillia, Charivne, Novoselivka, and in the areas of Bilohirya and Luhivske.
In the Orikhiv sector, the Defense Forces repelled four enemy attempts to advance toward Malaya Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, and Lukyanivskyi. In the Dnipro sector, Russian forces did not conduct any assault operations over the past 24 hours. In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of Russian offensive groupings were detected.
