The Russians struck garages in Chernihiv and burned 12 cars
On the afternoon of July 18, Russian drones attacked a garage cooperative on the outskirts of Chernihiv. The strike destroyed 12 cars; however, according to preliminary reports, no one was injured.
A large-scale fire broke out at the site following the attack. Emergency responders quickly extinguished the fire and tested the air for hazardous substances.
On the afternoon of July 18, Russian troops launched a drone strike on a garage cooperative on the outskirts of Chernihiv. This was reported by the State Emergency Service. The attack sparked a fire on the premises of the private enterprise. The fire engulfed the vehicles on the premises. According to the State Emergency Service, the flames completely destroyed 10 trucks and two passenger cars.
Rescue workers arrived at the scene promptly. They contained and extinguished the fire, preventing it from spreading further. After extinguishing the fire, SES specialists conducted an air quality assessment. No excessive concentrations of hazardous substances were detected. According to preliminary information from rescue workers, no one was injured as a result of the Russian strike. The State Emergency Service once again emphasized that Russian attacks continue to damage civilian infrastructure and the property of Ukrainians even far from the front lines. The State Emergency Service reported this on Facebook.
Over the past 18 days, the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ unmanned aerial vehicle units have struck 83 energy facilities in the occupied territories and deep within enemy territory. Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, commander of the UAS, stated that the last 12 targets were struck in just the past three days.
