Russians struck garages in Odesa with a jet-powered drone: one person was killed

On the afternoon of September 16, Russian forces launched a rocket-powered drone strike on private garages in one of Odesa’s districts. One person was killed as a result of the attack.

“The enemy struck Odesa with a rocket-powered UAV. The attack damaged private garages and passenger cars. According to preliminary reports, unfortunately, one person was killed,” the statement said.

The regional governor added that all relevant services are working at the scene. Cleanup efforts following the attack are ongoing.

Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, reported this on Telegram.

In Odesa, people were injured and warehouses were damaged as a result of the Russian attack.

As of the morning of September 10, 2026, the Russian army’s total personnel losses since the start of the full-scale invasion amount to approximately 1,502,390 soldiers. In the past 24 hours alone, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia lost another 1,520 servicemen.

The day before, 221 combat engagements were recorded on the front lines. The enemy launched the most attacks in the Pokrovsk direction, where the Defense Forces repelled 21 assaults, and Russian troops lost more than 60 occupiers.
