Russian army strikes Zaporizhzhia
Explosions were heard in Zaporizhzhia in the morning as a result of an airstrike carried out by Russian forces.
This information was reported by the Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, on his Telegram channel.
According to the official, the strikes hit the city directly, causing concern among the population.
It is worth noting that over the past day, the Ukrainian side recorded 728 attacks by enemy forces across Zaporizhzhia region, as a result of which one woman was injured.
These targeted strikes underline the escalation of the situation in the region and keep the population under heightened tension. Going forward, continued monitoring of the security situation and the implementation of measures to protect civilians are expected.
As a reminder, during the night Russia carried out massive strikes on Ukraine’s civilian and critical infrastructure. The capital suffered the most damage as a result of the shelling.
Russian troops also attacked Cherkasy region and the Novoukrainskyi district of Kirovohrad region with strike drones during the night. As a result of falling debris, residential buildings and outbuildings were damaged.
Ukraine is initiating an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council in connection with Russia’s ballistic missile attack using an “Oreshnik” missile on Lviv region.
