Russia strikes railway infrastructure in Sumy and Mykolaiv regions
Russian drone attacks targeted railway infrastructure in Sumy region and Mykolaiv region, damaging locomotives, railway tracks, and a station building.
This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration Oleksii Kuleba, who noted that civilian infrastructure had once again become the enemy’s target. According to preliminary information, there were no fatalities or injuries among railway workers or civilians. Emergency and technical services are currently working at the sites to eliminate the consequences of the strikes.

In Sumy region, a hostile drone strike caused destruction at a railway station, damaging both rolling stock and the railway tracks themselves. A similar attack was recorded in Mykolaiv region, where an explosion also damaged a diesel locomotive.
While Russia continues its systematic attacks on Ukraine’s transport hubs, railway workers are taking measures to stabilise train traffic in the affected regions.
Earlier, Russian strikes on Ukrainian energy facilities caused power outages.
Russia also attacked Odesa region with drones, damaging port infrastructure.
