The enemy is attacking along the entire front line, but the fiercest fighting is currently taking place near Pokrovsk
Since the start of the day, 55 combat engagements have taken place along the front line. Russian forces have concentrated most of their attacks on the Pokrovsk direction, where the fiercest fighting is ongoing. Ukrainian forces are holding back the offensive and repelling assaults on several fronts simultaneously. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.
Border areas are particularly hard hit. Shelling is targeting not only military positions but also populated areas. Villages in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions have come under fire.
North and Border Areas
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions, the situation remains difficult, but without any breakthroughs. Ukrainian troops repelled one assault. At the same time, the enemy has not reduced the intensity of shelling.
There were 43 shelling incidents during the day. One of them involved multiple launch rocket systems. This means massive strikes on areas that pose a serious threat to both military personnel and civilians. The Russians also carried out two airstrikes and used five guided bombs. These are precision strikes, typically aimed at fortifications or critical infrastructure.
Kharkiv Region and Kupiansk Direction
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the enemy attempted to break through seven times. Fighting took place near several settlements. Some of the attacks were repelled, but one battle is still ongoing.
The situation in the Kupiansk direction is also tense. The enemy is attempting to advance in the Petropavlivka area. This is one of the sectors where the enemy regularly tests the defenses.
Ukrainian troops are holding back the offensive, but the pressure here is constant. This means that fighting could intensify at any moment.
Liman and Sloviansk
In the Lyman sector, Russian forces have attempted to advance five times. All of these attempts were repelled. But the fighting continues—two clashes are ongoing.
Two attacks took place in the Sloviansk direction. One of them is still ongoing. This means the situation remains dynamic.
The Kramatorsk sector is relatively calm for now. No active combat operations have been reported there. But this does not mean the situation cannot change.
Kostiantynivka and the surrounding area
In the Kostiantynivka sector, the enemy launched four attacks. Fighting took place near several settlements. These are localized assaults aimed at improving their positions. Such attacks often resemble “reconnaissance by combat.” The enemy is testing where the defense is weaker and looking for opportunities for a further advance. Ukrainian forces are holding their ground and preventing the enemy from moving forward.
The hottest spot is near Pokrovsk
The Pokrovsk sector is currently the epicenter of combat operations. This is where the enemy has concentrated the most forces. Since the start of the day, there have been 21 assault attempts. Fighting is taking place in several areas simultaneously. The enemy is attempting to dislodge Ukrainian units from their positions. Some of the battles are still ongoing. This means the situation here is the most critical. This sector is currently the enemy’s key focus.
South and Zaporizhzhia Sector
There were four attacks in the Oleksandrivka sector. Additionally, the enemy launched an airstrike. This is a combination of ground and air operations.
In the Huliaipole sector, Ukrainian forces repelled seven attacks. This is one of the sectors where the defense is holding steady. However, one battle is still ongoing.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy is relying on aviation. Strikes are being carried out on several settlements. This is an attempt to destroy the defense from the air.
Dnipro sector
One assault attempt was recorded here. It took place in the direction of the Antonivsky Bridge. This is a critical area of strategic importance.
Ukrainian forces are in control of the situation and are preventing a breakthrough.
The situation on the front remains difficult but stable. The enemy is attacking actively but without significant breakthroughs. Ukrainian forces are holding their ground and repelling most attacks. The greatest pressure is currently on the Pokrovsk direction. That is where much is being decided at this stage. At the same time, fighting continues along the entire front line. And this means the situation can change rapidly.
