A Russian attack damaged more than 50 homes in the Carpathian region
During a massive attack on July 30, Russian troops struck the Ivano-Frankivsk region with cruise missiles. The shelling damaged an industrial facility, more than 50 private homes, and farm buildings. According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties.
On the night of July 30, Russia carried out another massive combined attack on Ukraine. The Ivano-Frankivsk region was also targeted, with the occupiers directing cruise missiles there. An air raid alert was declared in the Carpathian region at 3:57 a.m.
About half an hour later, the Ukrainian Air Force warned of cruise missiles heading toward Ivano-Frankivsk and Dolyna. By 5:12 a.m., Svitlana Onyshchuk, head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Military Administration, reported that air defense forces were operating in the region.
Initially, the official reported that there were no casualties or significant damage. However, after surveying the affected areas, the authorities provided an updated assessment of the consequences of the Russian strike. “As of now, we know of damage to one industrial facility, more than 50 private residential buildings, and nine outbuildings in the Kalush and Ivano-Frankivsk districts. Fortunately, there were no casualties,” Svitlana Onyshchuk said.
According to her, the most damage was recorded in the Kalush and Ivano-Frankivsk districts. Specialized services are currently working on the ground. Experts are inspecting the damaged buildings, documenting the consequences of the attack, and assisting local residents.
Despite significant damage to residential buildings and an industrial facility, there were no casualties or injuries resulting from the Russian shelling. Regional authorities continue to assess the extent of the damage. This was reported by the Air Force.
Additionally, Russian drones killed a person in the Poltava region and attacked a Nova Poshta facility.
In addition, a Russian missile killed a family with many children in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
