The SBU and the Defense Forces struck an aircraft factory in Yevpatoria, the port of Taman, and the Volgograd Oil Refinery
The Security Service of Ukraine, in coordination with the Defense Forces, carried out strikes against Russia’s military, logistical, and oil refining infrastructure. The operation was conducted in accordance with the directives of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to reduce the aggressor state’s military capabilities.
According to the SBU, an aircraft factory in the temporarily occupied city of Yevpatoria was targeted, with two hangars used to store aircraft and a production workshop being hit.
Ukrainian forces also struck infrastructure at the port of Taman, where, according to the security service, a massive fire broke out following the attack.
In addition, the SBU reported that the “Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka” oil refinery, one of Russia’s largest refineries, was struck.
The facility has a refining capacity of approximately 15 million metric tons of crude oil per year and produces automotive gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel, which are used to meet the needs of the Russian military.
“Every Russian military-industrial complex facility that is struck, every refinery or port that goes up in flames, is another step toward the depletion of Russia’s war machine. These systematic operations by the SBU to undermine the enemy’s military potential will continue,” the security service emphasized.
