Russia launched a drone attack on the Odessa-Dnipro train
On September 2, a Russian drone struck in the immediate vicinity of passenger train No. 53/54 on the Odessa–Dnipro route at one of the stations on the Dnipro Railway. The locomotive was hit, but thanks to the prompt response of the railway monitoring team, the threat was detected in advance, and the passengers, as well as the train and locomotive crews, were evacuated to a shelter before the strike.
No one was injured as a result of the strike, and the locomotive bore the brunt of the damage. With the assistance of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, alternative transportation was organized for the passengers—they were transferred to buses heading to their destination station.

Dozens of Ukrzaliznytsia trains have been running with significant delays due to the consequences of Russian attacks, and some trains are more than 15 hours late. The company is working to restore service and asks passengers to check the current status of their trains before traveling.
“Ukrzaliznytsia” has temporarily waived fees for all paid waiting rooms at train stations across the country. Passengers will be able to stay there free of charge until Friday morning while railway workers work to restore schedules following a massive airstrike.
