Trump is trying to restart negotiations on Ukraine, but there may be problems
The U.S. has recently stepped up its diplomatic efforts to end the war, but there are no specific details yet regarding a new negotiation process.
Political analyst Vadym Denysenko believes that Russia is not showing any willingness to make serious concessions, so the main risk for Kyiv could be pressure from Washington itself.
In his assessment, the 28 points previously discussed could once again form the basis of the negotiations. At the same time, there were two versions of the document: one contained a series of Russian demands, while the other was drafted with the participation of the U.S. and Ukraine and was significantly more acceptable to Kyiv.
Denisenko also noted that the Trump administration currently has limited leverage to pressure the Kremlin. Among other things, he attributes this to the situation surrounding the war with Iran and the risks of a new surge in fuel prices in the U.S.
According to the expert, new corruption scandals could serve as a separate tool for exerting pressure on Kyiv. At the same time, he suggests that Washington’s pressure on Ukraine this time around may be weaker than during the previous round of negotiations.
Denisenko believes that China, India, and Turkey are also closely monitoring the process. If the negotiations fail, Beijing may gain an additional opportunity to position itself as an independent mediator.

On the night of September 5, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine, using “Iskander-M/KN-23” ballistic missiles and 167 strike drones.
Russian occupiers attacked the “Epicenter” shopping center in Mykolaiv several times. Two people were injured as a result of the strikes, and fires broke out at the impact sites.
