A fire broke out at a factory in Khmelnytskyi following an attack by the Russian Federation

On the evening of September 2 in Khmelnytskyi, a fire broke out on the grounds of a business following a Russian attack. A truck and a warehouse caught fire due to falling debris.

During the air raid alert in the Khmelnytskyi region, air defense forces were deployed. According to the Khmelnytskyi Regional State Administration, enemy targets were shot down in the region.

After the air defense forces intervened, debris fell on the grounds of a business in the Khmelnytskyi district. As a result, a truck and a warehouse caught fire.

Khmelnytskyi Mayor Oleksandr Symchyshyn had previously reported that a truck had caught fire on the company’s premises.

“A truck caught fire after debris fell on the grounds of one of the enterprises,” Symchyshyn wrote.

Rescue workers were called in to extinguish the fire. According to the regional military administration, State Emergency Service personnel have now contained the blaze.

The truck driver was injured

Initially, the mayor reported that there was no information about fatalities or injuries. After clarifying the details, the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration reported that the truck driver had been injured.

The man sustained shrapnel wounds to his back. According to the regional military administration, he is in a state of shock and is receiving the necessary medical care.

There is currently no information about other casualties.

Prior to the attack, the Air Force had warned of jet-powered drones flying over the Khmelnytskyi region. Local news outlets reported enemy UAVs moving toward Khmelnytskyi.

Around 10:09 p.m., reports emerged of air defense forces engaging the drones. Subsequently, regional authorities reported that debris had fallen on the company’s premises, causing damage to people and property.

What is known about the attack

During the air raid alert, local Telegram channels also shared footage of a massive fire in Khmelnytskyi. The video shows intense flames and a large plume of smoke rising above the city.

In the evening, the Air Force issued a warning about a jet-powered drone over the Khmelnytskyi region. According to local channels, one of the drones was heading toward Derazhnya before changing course toward Khmelnytskyi. Another UAV was spotted heading toward Letychiv.

At 10:09 p.m., it was reported that air defense forces were engaged. Subsequently, the air raid alert was lifted in the region.

This was announced by Mayor Oleksandr Symchyshyn and the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration.

The Russian army’s losses once again exceeded 40,000 occupiers in a month.
