Russian drones burned 1,500 square meters of infrastructure in the Sumy region
The Sumy region once again came under attack from Russian occupying forces, which used unmanned aerial vehicles to strike civilian infrastructure, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
As a result of a strike in the Shostka community, a non-residential building was heavily damaged, causing a large-scale fire. The flames quickly spread over an area of 1,500 square meters, creating a critical fire load at the site.
Rescuers who arrived at the scene worked in extreme conditions, trying to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby buildings.
Their work was complicated by the constant threat of repeated enemy strikes, forcing emergency crews to pause firefighting efforts several times and take shelter.
Despite the danger and the difficult situation, the fire was completely extinguished thanks to the coordinated efforts of rescue services.
According to preliminary data from monitoring services and local authorities, there have been no reports of deaths or injuries so far. Specialists continue to work at the scene to assess the extent of the damage and document another crime committed by Russian forces against civilians in the Sumy region.
Russian forces attacked the village of Zolochiv in the Kharkiv region with drones.
The Zaporizhzhia region was attacked more than 800 times in a single day.
The Dnipropetrovsk region was targeted nearly 50 times in one day, according to regional authorities.
