Russia is building infrastructure for maritime drones in occupied Crimea
The Russian military is building new infrastructure on the shore of Lake Donuzlav in occupied Crimea.
Boathouses have appeared near Novoozernoye, which are likely to be used for the storage and maintenance of unmanned boats.
According to the OSINT community, the new structures may be linked to Russia’s preparations to deploy maritime drones in the Black Sea. At the same time, no active combat use of such unmanned boats by Russian forces has been recorded so far.
The emergence of this infrastructure may indicate that the occupiers are preparing to test a new class of weapons and subsequently deploy them.
Thus, the Donuzlav area could become one of the locations where Russia will prepare maritime drones for future use in the Black Sea.
