Russian propagandists have called for the elimination of the rapper Kyivstoner
On the Russian state television channel “Rossiya 1,” calls were made for physical violence against Ukrainian rapper and blogger Albert Vasilyev, known by the pseudonym Kyivstoner. Propagandists spread accusations of alleged “sabotage,” which Russian intelligence agencies had previously attributed to the Ukrainian.
On July 14, the FSB claimed it had allegedly thwarted an attack by 35 FPV drones on a strategic facility in the Moscow region. Russian intelligence agencies publicly announced that the drones had been transported to Russia via European countries, and that Kyivstoner had allegedly coordinated the logistics of the operation and the actions of its participants. The Russian side also reported the arrest of one of the suspects and the death of another during the arrest.
And although the Russian side has not provided any convincing or legally substantiated evidence to support this version of events, the Russian state media immediately picked up on the story.
In particular, during a broadcast on the federal channel “Rossiya 1,” propagandist Sergei Zenin made aggressive statements directed at Vasilyev:
he called the Ukrainian artist a “target for Russian intelligence”;
he claimed that the rapper’s guilt regarding the FSB’s allegations was allegedly fully “proven.”
In addition to making direct calls for the artist’s physical elimination, Sergey Zenin also accompanied his remarks with offensive and xenophobic rhetoric.
At the same time, there are no court rulings regarding Kyivstoner, and the statements made are based exclusively on the version of events put forward by the Russian intelligence service, which has not provided any independently verified evidence to support its accusations.
It should be noted that Albert Vasilyev (Kyivstoner) is a well-known Ukrainian blogger, actor, and former member of the popular band “Griby.” After Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine began in 2022, the artist strongly condemned Russian aggression, severed all ties with Russia, and has actively expressed a pro-Ukrainian stance.
No official comments have yet been received from the musician himself or from Ukrainian law enforcement agencies regarding the FSB’s allegations.
