Russian drone attacks DTEK brigade in Donetsk region: driver injured
In the Donetsk region, a DTEK energy crew came under attack while returning to base after replacing a power pole, the company’s press service reported.
According to DTEK, a Russian drone exploded near their vehicle.
The driver was injured and hospitalised, but his life is not currently in danger.
The company emphasised that, despite equipment damage, restoration work continues. Energy crews are still repairing affected facilities to ensure stable electricity supply.
On the night of 24 January, Russia struck Kyiv with missiles not typically seen in recent months. The attack involved heavy Kh-22 and Kh-32 cruise missiles launched from Tu-22M3 strategic bombers, according to Yurii Ihnat, head of communications for the Ukrainian Air Force Command.
Ukraine is facing a serious shortage of missiles for its air defence systems, leaving some anti-aircraft complexes temporarily without ammunition ahead of renewed attacks, Ihnat added.
