Air defense forces shot down 135 Russian drones during a nighttime attack
On the night of May 4, Russia launched 155 drones of various types at Ukraine. However, Ukrainian air defense forces were able to destroy or neutralize most of them—135 targets.
This information was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
They reported that this latest Russian air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
“According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 a.m., air defense forces shot down or neutralized 135 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types in the north, south, and east of the country,” the statement reads.
The Air Force added that as a result of the attack, 14 strike drones were recorded hitting 10 locations, and debris fell in four places. Meanwhile, the Russian air assault continues, with several drones currently in Ukrainian airspace.

On the afternoon of May 3, Russian troops launched missile strikes on Ukraine, resulting in several explosions being heard in Dnipro.
Russian occupation forces struck a residential neighborhood in Dnipro, damaging a dormitory building. Residents were in shelters during the attack.
In Kryvyi Rih on May 3, Russian troops struck a nine-story residential building, injuring five people. Among the wounded were two children, who were hospitalized with a preliminary diagnosis of “smoke inhalation.”
