A Russian drone struck a store in Krasnokutsk
On the afternoon of July 9, Russian troops attacked Krasnokutsk in the Kharkiv region with a strike drone. The drone struck a store, causing a massive fire. Three people are known to have been injured, and neighboring retail spaces and a post office were also damaged.
According to rescue workers, the strike hit the central part of the town. The Russian drone struck a commercial building that housed a clothing store. “Three people were injured as a result of the shelling of downtown Krasnokutsk. This afternoon, Russian troops attacked a commercial building with a strike drone,” the State Emergency Service reported.
A major fire broke out after the strike. The fire quickly engulfed the store building, and the area affected by the blaze reached 300 square meters. “The store building was on fire. The premises of other retail establishments and a post office were also damaged,” the rescue workers noted. State Emergency Service units arrived at the scene immediately. They extinguished the fire and prevented it from spreading to other buildings.
Three people are known to have been injured. No information about their condition has been released yet. Rescue workers and law enforcement officers continue to work at the scene. They are documenting the aftermath of the attack and assessing the extent of the damage.
Russian troops regularly strike settlements in the Kharkiv region using missiles, guided bombs, and attack drones. Civilian facilities, residential buildings, stores, and other infrastructure are often targeted.
