The Security Service of Ukraine struck a Russian missile system in Gelendzhik and three ships in the Black Sea — Madyar

On the night of August 9, the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces carried out successful strikes against military facilities on Russian territory and enemy targets in the Black Sea. This was reported by Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces.

On the night of August 8–9, on Russian territory, the Unmanned Systems Forces struck an S-400 anti-aircraft missile system in Gelendzhik, in the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation “Triumph” in Gelendzhik, Krasnodar Krai, which had launched six missiles at Ukrainian territory on August 8 between 9:25 a.m. and 12:51 p.m.

In total, the units struck three anti-aircraft missile systems, two radar stations on Russian territory, and three vessels of the Russian Federation’s shadow fleet. 

In addition to the S-400, the following were struck: 

  • the “TOR” air defense system, Pudovoy, Rostov Oblast (Russia);
  • “Pantsir-S1” air defense system, Yeysk, Krasnodar Krai (Russian Federation);
  • “Podlyot-K1” radar station, Golovatka, Rostov Oblast (Russian Federation);
  • “Kasta 2E2” radar station, Latonovo, Rostov Oblast (Russian Federation);
  • one oil tanker, Black Sea waters;
  • two dry cargo ships, Black Sea waters.

On the morning of August 9, Russian forces struck the Saltivsky District of Kharkiv, killing two people and wounding at least 12 others.

On the night of August 9, Russian forces carried out a combined attack on Odesa using strike drones and ballistic missiles, injuring at least six people.
