The SBU has charged Russian Chief of the General Staff Gerasimov with war crimes

The Security Service of Ukraine, together with the Office of the Prosecutor General, has opened a criminal investigation into Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces. The Russian general is suspected of involvement in war crimes against Ukraine.

The investigation has established that Gerasimov was directly involved in massive missile and air strikes on Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure, including the Russian military’s air attack on Kyiv and the surrounding region on July 2 of this year.

This was reported by the SBU.

New details have emerged regarding Russia’s provocation against the Ukrainian Armed Forces involving the shelling of a Belarusian bus.
