The SBU reported on 40 days of strikes against Russia and detailed the extent of the enemy's losses
The Security Service of Ukraine announced the results of a 40-day campaign targeting the aggressor state, during which more than 100 strikes were carried out against strategically important targets on Russian territory and in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has also approved new operations, which will be coordinated by SBU Director Oleksandr Poklad.
According to the security service, during this period, strikes targeted enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex, military airfields, air defense systems, command posts, oil refineries, logistics facilities, as well as ships and tankers of the so-called “shadow fleet.”
The SBU reported that on the front lines and behind enemy lines, its units destroyed more than 21,000 pieces of military equipment, weapons, and infrastructure, and eliminated nearly 5,000 Russian soldiers.
A separate focus was on strikes against military aviation and air defense systems. According to the SBU, attacks were carried out on the airfields “Saki,” “Gvardeyskoye,” “Belbek,” “Bagherove,” “Engels,” and “Khanskaya,” as well as the Yevpatoria Aviation Plant. Among the reported results are the destruction of a Tu-95MS strategic bomber, the downing of Su-35 fighters and L-39 training and combat aircraft, as well as hangars containing aircraft and Shahed drones.
The SBU also reports strikes on 14 oil refineries, dozens of oil depots, tank farms, oil pumping stations, and an oil production platform at the Filanovsky field in the Caspian Sea.
In addition, the tankers Blue, Louise 1, Banda, Avero, and two other cargo ships were targeted; according to the security service, Russia was using these vessels to circumvent international sanctions.
According to the SBU, over the course of 40 days, 24 tanks, 63 armored fighting vehicles, 124 artillery systems, 22 multiple launch rocket systems, 40 air defense systems, 14 aircraft and helicopters, as well as more than 11,000 enemy drones and ground-based robotic systems.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also announced that the Security Service of Ukraine is preparing new operations against Russia. During a meeting with SBU Director Oleksandr Poklad, the head of state heard a report on the agency’s plans and priorities for August and approved the relevant measures.
On the night of August 4, 2026, drones attacked the distribution center of “Lenta,” one of Russia’s largest supermarket chains, in the Leningrad Oblast. The strike caused a fire at the facility, and operations at the goods receiving warehouse were temporarily suspended.
