Ukrainian troops thwarted the Russian occupation forces’ preparations for a new assault in the Vovchansk direction by striking enemy troop concentrations.
This was reported on August 5 by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, which released a video of the combat operation. According to the State Border Guard Service, near the village of Artilne, servicemen from the Rapid Response Border Command of the 4th Border Guard Detachment, part of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, struck Russian units that were amassing resources for new assault operations.
As a result of the attack, five assault groups of the occupying forces, nine shelters, two ammunition depots, one fuel and lubricants depot, and an all-terrain vehicle used to support Russian units were destroyed.
The State Border Guard Service noted that the systematic targeting of personnel concentrations, logistics hubs, and ammunition depots prevents Russian troops from fully launching offensive operations in this sector.
