Russia could launch up to 100 ballistic missiles at Ukraine each month
Russia is ramping up its production of ballistic missiles and is already capable of launching about 100 missiles per month. This poses a serious threat to Ukraine, as the occupiers are increasingly targeting logistics, industrial, and civilian infrastructure.
Following yet another massive attack on Ukrainian industrial facilities and warehouses, an expert noted that the Russian army is deliberately targeting enterprises, logistics centers, and warehouses.
“The enemy has shown that it no longer matters what they attack. They are targeting food warehouses, construction material warehouses, retail outlets, and manufacturing facilities. And this will continue as long as the enemy has ballistic missiles. According to my estimates, Russia can launch about 100 ballistic missiles per month. The frequency of strikes has now increased, partly due to the use of reserves, but the attacks will continue,” said Beskrestnov.
According to the expert, Russian intelligence agencies obtain information about potential targets not only from open sources but also through a network of agents who monitor the activities of Ukrainian enterprises.
“The enemy knows where our targets are located. It’s no secret. No satellite intelligence channels are needed. There’s a person who, for a few thousand hryvnias, monitors the movement of trucks and the volume of warehouse operations, passes this information on to Russia, and then a decision is made to launch an attack. It was the same when my house was attacked—the SBU showed me information about people who were tracking my movements and documenting the aftermath of the strike,” he said.
Serhiy Beskrestnov emphasized that Ukrainian businesses need to rethink their approaches to warehousing and logistics to reduce the risks posed by Russian attacks.
“If you have a business or warehouses, try to diversify your risks. Don’t create large concentrations of vehicles or goods in one place. Restructure your logistics channels, look for smaller warehouses or subleases, and use retail stores as storage facilities. This is a matter of survival, as the enemy will continue to target such facilities to create shortages of various goods in Ukraine,” the expert emphasized.
According to him, the increase in ballistic missile production in Russia and the growing intensity of attacks require Ukrainian companies to adopt new approaches to security and operational organization.
This was stated by Serhiy “Flash” Beskrestnov, an advisor to the President of Ukraine on the development of defense technologies and a specialist in radio technologies.
As a reminder, on the night of August 5, Russian troops destroyed the Rozetka distribution and warehouse complex in Brovary, near Kyiv. The facility was struck by three ballistic missiles. No one was injured, but the complex itself cannot be restored.
As a result of Russia’s nighttime missile attack on the night of August 5, the production and logistics facilities of the company “Epicenter” sustained significant damage. One employee was killed, and three others were injured.
As a result of a Russian drone attack on August 4 in Dnipro, a warehouse belonging to the company “Biosfera”—which was part of a 20,000-square-meter warehouse complex—was completely destroyed.
