The SBU carried out strikes on oil refineries and military facilities in Russia and Crimea
The Security Service of Ukraine, in coordination with other units of the Defense Forces, carried out a series of long-range strikes against strategic targets on the territory of Russia and in the temporarily occupied Crimea. The attacks targeted oil refineries, fuel terminals, and enemy military infrastructure.
Drones struck the Yaroslavl Oil Refinery and the “Yaroslavl” control station. Explosions and heavy smoke were reported in the vicinity of the facility.
It has also been confirmed that an oil loading terminal at the Vysotsk seaport in the Leningrad region was hit. There, two loading arms were put out of commission and three tanks containing petroleum products were damaged. In addition, drones attacked the NOVATEK-Ust-Luga oil refinery in the village of Slobodka.
In the Leningrad region, the permanent deployment site of the enemy’s 26th Missile Brigade near the city of Luga was struck.
The SBU carried out a separate operation in the temporarily occupied Crimea. At the “Gvardeyskoye” airfield, three hangars containing aviation equipment were struck.
Near Simferopol, a “Pantsir-S2” anti-aircraft missile system was struck, and in Kerch, a mobile fire group was targeted. A storage tank and a pumping station at the “TES-Terminal-1” oil depot were also struck.
“In accordance with the president’s directive, we are doing everything to ensure that Russia faces retribution for its crimes every day. As long as the enemy continues to shell peaceful Ukrainian cities, its military and fuel infrastructure will suffer significant losses. We are systematically destroying the resources that fuel the Russian war machine, and this effort will only intensify,” said SBU Head Yevhen Khmara.
As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on Russia’s massive nighttime attack on Kyiv on July 6, during which the occupiers launched 68 missiles and deployed 351 attack drones.
During the morning shelling on July 6, Russian terrorists struck the DAO sorting terminal of the “Nova Poshta” company in Dnipro. The strike caused a fire on the premises, which rescue workers quickly extinguished.
The Russians last launched a massive attack on Ukraine on the night of July 2. On that occasion, Russian forces launched 496 UAVs of various types and 74 missiles—including air-, ground-, and sea-based missiles of various types—at Ukraine.
