Video: Ukrainian drones disabled 37 energy facilities in Crimea and Donbas in the first days of July
Since early July, Ukrainian drones have struck 37 energy infrastructure facilities in the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Donbas. According to Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, the strikes resulted in a large-scale power outage, which the occupying administrations were forced to acknowledge.
“The Crimean circuit breaker tripped for the 38th time in six days in July as a result of the SBS ‘Birds’ operations. The occupiers of Crimea acknowledged blackouts in all cities and districts of the ‘South Coast of Crimea’ and in Simferopol. Between July 1 and 5, the SBS Birds intensively struck 37 power facilities in Crimea and the southern occupied territories,” he noted.
“Madyar” reported that overnight, a massive strike was carried out against a key facility of the 330 kV “Simferopolskaya” transmission substation in occupied Simferopol. He emphasized that “that was number 38.”
The strike was carried out by operators from the 1st Operational Center of the Special Forces, the 9th “Kairos” Battalion of the 414th Special Forces Brigade “Madyar’s Birds,” the 412th Brigade “Nemesis,” and “Phoenix.”
“You worms, of course you’re not at the finish line yet—this is just the beginning of the de-occupation. Let’s see how far you get—maybe a hundred steps through the power outlets—by the end of July. You’ll announce the cascading collapse of the peninsula’s power grid later. There won’t be any electricity or communications then, so you’ll have to use carrier pigeons,” reads the statement from “Madyar.”
He also announced details about two tankers carrying gasoline for Crimea that were “intercepted” by the SBS last night, as well as a burning oil depot on the occupied peninsula.
As a reminder, the SBU carried out strikes on oil refineries and military facilities in Russia and Crimea.
Drones also attacked ports and a military training ground in the Leningrad Oblast of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, Russian occupiers struck a Nova Poshta sorting terminal.
