Assault troops from the “Safari” Regiment drove the occupiers out of the forest belt on the outskirts of Kostiantynivka
Assault troops from the “Safari” Regiment, part of the Ukrainian National Police’s “Lyut” Joint Assault Brigade, successfully cleared a forest strip of Russian troops who were attempting to establish a foothold on the outskirts of Kostiantynivka.
According to military sources, the occupiers continue to launch assaults in this direction in small groups, using ravines, forest belts, and other natural cover to advance covertly.
Ukrainian reconnaissance troops and drone operators spotted the enemy’s advance in time, after which “Safari” fighters moved in to clear the area. During the operation, soldiers with the call signs “Demyan” and “Tikhan” spotted two Russian soldiers and offered them the chance to surrender. The occupiers refused and opened fire, but were completely eliminated in a brief firefight. After successfully completing the mission, the Ukrainian assault troops took up more advantageous defensive positions to secure the approaches to the city.
A video of the combat operation was posted on the Facebook page of the “Lyut” Joint Assault Brigade of the National Police of Ukraine.
