On the night of July 11, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched a large-scale strike against Russian vessels in the waters of the Sea of Azov, hitting 21 tankers, four tugboats, two dry cargo ships, and a dredger that were being used to support the occupiers’ military logistics.

It is noted that the operation was carried out as part of measures to reduce the military and economic potential of the Russian Federation.

According to the General Staff, the 21 struck tankers were used to transport oil and petroleum products in circumvention of international sanctions, which provided funds to finance Russia’s war against Ukraine.

In addition, four tugboats, two dry cargo ships, and a dredger—which Russian troops used for military logistics, cargo transportation, and maintaining port infrastructurewere also struck.

The extent of the damage and the final results of the strike are currently being assessed.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.

Overnight in Russia’s Rostov Oblast, a drone attack targeted four vessels in the waters of the Taganrog Gulf. According to official information from the Russian side, one crew member was killed as a result of the strike.

Furthermore, on the night of July 8, strike drones of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a military airfield in Borisoglebsk, Voronezh Oblast, Russia. This airbase is home to aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces, which are used for both combat and training missions.

Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have reduced the strength of the Russian army by another 1,260 troops. The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces released updated data on enemy losses as of July 8, also reporting the destruction of a significant amount of enemy equipment.
