Defense forces shot down and neutralized 109 enemy drones
On the night of May 21, Russian occupation forces launched a massive strike on Ukrainian territory, using a ballistic missile and 116 attack drones of various types.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
Ukrainian air defense forces managed to shoot down and neutralize 109 enemy UAVs using electronic warfare systems.
The attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
The attack began on the evening of May 20 and continued throughout the night.
The enemy launched an Iskander-M ballistic missile from the Rostov region and also launched dozens of drones from Kursk, Bryansk, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and the temporarily occupied Crimea.
Among the drones, both traditional Shahed-type jet strike UAVs and Gerbera, Italmas, and Parody-type decoy drones were identified.
The Russian invaders’ main attack was directed at the northern, southern, and eastern regions of our country.

A massive forest fire broke out in the Chernihiv region following shelling by the Russian Federation.
Over the past 24 hours, the Russian army carried out 41 strikes on border areas of the Chernihiv region, primarily using FPV drones.
Additionally, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, a Russian FPV drone struck a utility vehicle carrying power company workers who were on their way to perform restoration work.
