Defence forces destroyed over 400 enemy targets during a massive attack

On the night of 26 February, Ukrainian air defence repelled one of the largest combined strikes, neutralising 406 air attack weapons.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.

Russian invaders used a wide arsenal of weapons, including scarce hypersonic Zircon missiles, ballistic missiles, and hundreds of attack drones of various types.
Thanks to the coordinated work of anti-aircraft missile troops, aviation, and mobile fire groups, catastrophic consequences for the country’s infrastructure were prevented.
The enemy began the attack on the evening of 25 February, launching a total of 459 munitions from various directions, including from the Bryansk and Rostov regions of Russia, as well as from temporarily occupied Crimea.
Among the missiles launched were 2 Zircons, 11 ballistic Iskander-M/S-400 complexes, 24 Kh-101 cruise missiles, and 2 guided Kh-69 aviation missiles.
In addition, Ukrainian territory was attacked by 420 drones, including not only the well-known “Shaheds” but also new types of drones — “Gerbera” and “Italmas”.
According to preliminary data from the Air Force, as of 10:00 in the morning, both Zircons, 4 ballistic missiles, all 24 Kh-101 cruise missiles, and both Kh-69 missiles were successfully intercepted.
The heaviest workload fell on the electronic warfare and air defence units in the fight against drones — 374 enemy drones were destroyed or suppressed.
Despite the high effectiveness of the defence, 5 ballistic missiles and 46 attack UAVs hit 32 different locations, and debris from shot-down targets caused damage at 15 additional sites.
It should be recalled that the occupiers attacked industrial facilities and residential areas in the Poltava region.
The Russian attack destroyed a private house in Pechersk.
Also, a Shahed struck a five-storey building in Kryvyi Rih.
In Kharkiv, a Russian missile hit a multi-storey building, and there are casualties.
