Armed Forces liberate nine villages on the Oleksandrivka direction

Since the start of the active operation on the Oleksandrivka direction, Ukrainian paratroopers have restored control over nine settlements.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, units of the Air Assault Forces continue offensive operations, having cleared three villages and working to liberate additional territories. The success of the operation was made possible by the systematic expulsion of occupiers from fortified positions and the use of advanced technical solutions to disrupt the enemy.

A key stage of the offensive involved limiting Russian units’ access to Starlink network terminals, which significantly impaired the aggressor’s command and control during the initial phase of the fighting. Despite this, the enemy attempted to advance but was stopped by concentrated artillery strikes and the work of FPV drone teams. According to the command, Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance units maintain full control of the situation, leaving no safe positions for the occupiers, even in the rear.

From January 29 to March 2, 2026, Russian losses on this section of the front amounted to 6,537 personnel, over 4,300 of whom were irrecoverable. Additionally, 419 units of enemy weapons and military equipment were destroyed. The operation is being conducted according to the plan of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and under the precise leadership of the Air Assault Forces commander, demonstrating higher efficiency compared to the enemy’s offensive attempts in February.

Earlier reports stated that the AFU liberated eight settlements and approximately 400 km² in southern Ukraine.

The Armed Forces also carried out strikes against a missile unit and enemy supply depots.

The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) refuted the Kremlin General Staff’s loud claims regarding captured territories.
