Defense forces have liberated nearly 470 km² in the south — Syrskyi
Oleksandr Syrskyi reported that Ukrainian forces have regained control of nearly 470 square kilometers of territory in the southern sector.
According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have also neutralized over 11,000 Russian troops in this area.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi reported this on Facebook.
He noted that during a working trip to the Southern Operational Zone, he held a meeting with the command of the offensive group, commanders of assault and airborne assault units, and heard reports on the fulfillment of combat tasks by personnel. The participants also discussed options for further action and coordinated the interaction of units within their areas of responsibility, Syrskyi wrote.

According to him, the Defense Forces continue to relentlessly liberate Ukrainian territory from the occupiers thanks to their courage and unconventional tactics.
“Since the start of the operation, we have regained control of approximately 470 square kilometers, neutralizing over 11,000 invaders,” the Commander-in-Chief emphasized.
Syrskyi visited the southern front: intense fighting continues in the Huliaipole sector.
Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian defenders have repelled a large-scale offensive by Russian occupiers, recording a total of 158 combat engagements across the entire front line.
As a reminder, the Ukrainian Air Force warned of high activity by Russian drones.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine also thwarted a Russian offensive planned for March.
