Syrsky inspected the air defense operations in the south and issued orders to the military
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi made a working visit to the southern regions of the country, where he personally inspected the combat operations of air defense units.
The commander-in-chief assessed the readiness of command posts and inspected the combat crews of anti-aircraft missile and artillery systems that defend Ukraine’s airspace.
Based on the results of the inspection, decisions were made to optimize troop command and control and strengthen the protection of strategic facilities.
During the visit, the general heard comprehensive reports from the leadership of the Southern Air Command regarding the current operational situation and the tactics of the Russian army.
The military command discussed practical steps to enhance the resilience of the air defense shield. Oleksandr Syrskyi officially shared details of his work in the southern sector.
“During my working trip to the south, I worked at the Southern Air Command. I inspected the organization of combat operations at the command post, as well as the combat crews of anti-aircraft missile and artillery systems tasked with defending Ukraine’s airspace,” Syrskyi noted.
During the meetings, military leadership focused primarily on the speed of information exchange and coordination between different branches of the military.
The air defense system is being adapted to new conditions, as Russian occupation forces regularly change their tactics involving the massive use of cruise missiles and strike drones.
The Commander-in-Chief emphasized that the Russian army is deliberately attempting to destroy our country’s logistical capabilities.
“The enemy’s goal is to disrupt the maritime corridor, strike a blow to the state’s economy, and create additional security threats in the Black Sea region. Our task is to prevent these plans from being carried out,” Syrskyi emphasized.
To effectively counter aerial terror, the generals separately reviewed the operations of mobile fire groups and small-scale air defense units.
On the agenda was the development of tactical groups for intercepting enemy unmanned aerial vehicles and their full integration into a unified nationwide system.
In conditions of intense shelling, it is precisely the flexibility of command and rapid maneuvering of available forces that are key factors for success.
Oleksandr Syrskyi reported this on Facebook.
