Syrskyi reports on the situation in northern Sumy region
The situation in the north of Sumy Oblast remains stable. Ukrainian forces are confidently holding their positions and inflicting significant losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment.
This was reported on the Facebook page of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.
Syrskyi visited units operating in the Northern-Slobozhanske and Kursk directions. He heard commanders’ reports on the operational situation in their areas of responsibility.
“The enemy is trying to pressure our positions with constant assault actions. Despite this, the situation in the north of Sumy remains stable. Ukrainian soldiers confidently hold their lines, inflict heavy losses on the enemy’s personnel and equipment, and reduce its combat potential,” the Commander-in-Chief stated.
He also listened to problems raised by commanders along with proposals aimed at solving them and improving the effectiveness of combat operations.
Among other things, Syrskyi issued instructions to provide units with all-terrain vehicles and additional strike capabilities to hit areas where Russian occupiers are concentrated.
“Based on the briefings, combat tasks have been adjusted according to the enemy’s troop composition and the nature of its actions,” Syrskyi added.
