Syrskyi visited "Charter": Over 150 Russian attacks in the South Slobozhanskyi sector in the past two weeks

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi visited the National Guard’s 2nd Corps “Charter,” which is engaged in active defense operations in the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector.

Syrskyi reported this on Facebook.

According to him, Russian troops carried out more than 150 attacks in this sector of the front in the first half of May alone.

“Our soldiers are effectively holding back the advance of the Russian invaders and inflicting significant losses on them,” the Commander-in-Chief noted.

During the trip, Syrskyi discussed with the corps and combat brigade commanders the fulfillment of assigned tasks, as well as steps to strengthen defensive capabilities.

Following the visit, he made a series of decisions to improve the provision of supplies to the military in accordance with their needs.

Syrskyi added that the key priorities of the Defense Forces remain seizing the initiative on the battlefield, inflicting maximum losses on the enemy, and preserving the lives of Ukrainian defenders.

On the morning of May 16, Moscow also came under attack by drones, causing airports in the Russian capital to temporarily suspend operations.

The “ATESH” partisan movement claimed responsibility for a sabotage operation in the Moscow region, which disrupted the functioning of elements of the Russian air defense system on the outskirts of the capital.
