A Panamanian-flagged vessel was damaged in Odessa as a result of a Russian attack
During the morning attack on Odesa on May 18, a civilian vessel flying the Panamanian flag was damaged while traveling through the Ukrainian maritime corridor toward one of the ports in the Greater Odesa area. Details regarding the extent of the damage and the possible consequences of the incident are currently being clarified.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.
The vessel was carrying a cargo of oil.
“The vessel sustained damage after being struck by a UAV. The crew addressed the consequences of the attack on their own. There were no casualties,” the USPA noted.
The vessel continued on to its destination port.
Earlier, on May 14, the State Emergency Service released footage of the aftermath of a nighttime Russian attack on Kyiv. In the capital, damage to residential buildings, fires, and casualties were reported; rescue workers evacuated people and addressed the consequences of the strikes.
