The 425th Separate Assault Regiment “Skelya” reported a successful operation in the Kharkiv region. According to the unit, Ukrainian troops thwarted an attempt to breach the state border near the village of Kozacha Lopan. According to military sources, the assault troops traveled to Kozacha Lopan on ATVs. In the northeastern part of the settlement, they detected a group of Russian soldiers attempting to infiltrate Ukrainian territory unnoticed.

The unit stated that the Russian soldiers were neutralized and the infiltration attempt was successfully thwarted. “We received a mission from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to conduct strike and search operations and stabilize the situation in the direction of Kozacha Lopan. A blockade line was established to prevent enemy infiltration. Currently, strike and search operations are underway to detect and eliminate the enemy that infiltrated in the direction of Kozacha Lopana,” says one of the servicemen in the released video.

After the battle ended, Ukrainian troops conducted a sweep of the Hraniv area and the border zone to ensure that no Russian troops remained in that sector. Simultaneously with the assault teams’ operations, strike drone units attacked the routes used by Russian forces.

Additionally, according to the regiment, Ukrainian drones struck the nearest rear positions of the Russian army. Specifically, this refers to the Malinovka area in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation.

At this time, no official information regarding this operation has been released by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The 425th Separate Assault Regiment “Skelya” itself released a report on the results of the battle. The regiment announced this on its Telegram channel, posting a video from the scene.
