A chalk factory caught fire in the Belgorod Region of the Russian Federation following a missile strike

In Russia's Belgorod Region, a missile attack was reported, which may have struck the Oleksiyivka chalk plant

According to preliminary reports, the strike may have targeted the Oleksiyivka Chalk Plant.

It is one of the region’s largest enterprises for the extraction and processing of chalk, and its products are used in the construction and chemical industries.

Reports and videos from eyewitnesses are circulating online, claiming that the plant building sustained critical damage and that the facility has been virtually destroyed.

“The plant building was practically destroyed during the strike,” according to comments on the published footage.

Ukraine has not officially confirmed the strike, and Russian authorities have not yet provided any comments.

According to Russian sources, this is not the first attack on the facility—the plant was previously struck by drones in June.

Investigations and assessments of the damage are ongoing.

This was reported by the Telegram channel Astra.

On June 23 in Kerch, a series of explosions triggered a massive fire at a thermal power plant, leading to widespread power outages on the occupied peninsula.

As a reminder, the Armed Forces of Ukraine were able to completely halt the supply of food, fuel, and ammunition to Russian units on the Kinburn Spit.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported 246 combat engagements on the front lines over the past 24 hours.

The Russians are attempting to break through on the Lyman and Kupiansk fronts, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
