July 27 in Chernihiv — a day of mourning following the attack on a supermarket
July 27 is a day of mourning in Chernihiv for those killed in the rocket drone strike on the ATB supermarket that occurred on the afternoon of July 26. Two people were killed—a 10-year-old child and a 23-year-old woman.
According to Vyacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, 25 people were injured in the attack, including four children. Twelve of the injured are in the hospital, four of whom are in serious condition.
Among the injured children are a 10-year-old boy who is in the hospital, two boys aged 11 and 17, and a girl who is nearly two years old.

Another drone destroyed a service station and supermarket vehicles, Chaus reported. Later, a factory was struck, causing a fire.
Late in the evening, a food processing plant was struck. A 48-year-old man was injured and is currently in the hospital.
The Chernihiv Region Patrol Police released body camera footage taken in the first minutes after the attack on the supermarket. Police officers, along with other emergency services, provided first aid to the victims, evacuated people to safe locations, and assisted in transporting them to medical facilities.
