Four regions are experiencing power outages following attacks by Russia — Ukrenergo
As of the morning of May 19, some consumers in the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kharkiv regions were left without power due to Russian strikes on energy infrastructure.
This was reported by NPC "Ukrenergo" on Facebook.
"As a result of Russian drone attacks and artillery shelling of energy infrastructure in frontline regions, consumers in the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kharkiv regions are without power as of this morning. Where safety conditions permit, emergency repair work is already underway," the statement said.
As of 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, electricity consumption is 1.9% lower than the previous day. This is due to a shift from cloudy to clear weather in many regions, which increases the efficiency of residential solar power plants.
"Please use electricity sparingly. Do not turn on several high-power electrical appliances at the same time in the evening—from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.," urges the power system operator.
Ukrenergodoes not forecast any power outages on Monday.
