A massive fire broke out at a factory in Kharkiv following a drone strike by Russian forces
Russian troops attacked the Kholodnohirskyi district of Kharkiv on Sunday evening. The strike hit a civilian facility, causing a major fire on the premises. Emergency services are on the scene, and the circumstances and extent of the damage are being assessed.
This was reported by Oleg Synyegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, on Telegram.
It should be noted that prior to the shelling of Kharkiv, the Air Force reported not only drone launches but also the launch of guided missiles. The Kharkiv Regional State Administration released footage of the burning facility, showing a major fire on the third floor of the building.
It is not yet clear which of the industrial facilities was hit, as there are several in the city’s Kholodnohirskyi district. According to Oleg Synyegubov, efforts to extinguish the fire at the facility are still ongoing.
As a reminder, Russia attacked the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, causing a fire.
Prior to that, Russian KABs struck the Zaporizhzhia region, resulting in injuries.
Five State Emergency Service rescuers were killed as a result of the Russian attack on Kharkiv.
