In Kherson, three police officers were injured when an unexploded drone detonated

An incident occurred in the "Zhitloselishche" neighborhood of Kherson while police officers were performing their duties.

This was reported by the Kherson Regional Police in their summary for the past 24 hours.

Three law enforcement officers sustained injuries of varying severity due to the sudden detonation of an enemy drone that had previously crashed but had not exploded.

The incident occurred when a police unit arrived in response to a call from local residents to inspect a suspicious object. During the inspection of the device, an accidental explosion occurred involving the ammunition with which the invaders’ drone had been equipped.

As a result of the detonation, police officers aged 23, 27, and 47, who were in the immediate vicinity of the explosion’s epicenter, were injured.

Medical personnel promptly provided assistance to the victims and hospitalized them for further treatment.

According to official information from the Kherson Regional Police: “They were diagnosed with blast injuries, concussions, and shrapnel wounds.”

Currently, the condition of the injured is being monitored by doctors; their lives are not in danger, but rehabilitation will take a long time.

Defense forces and law enforcement agencies are once again reminding residents of frontline areas of the extreme danger posed by unexploded shells and drones.

Russian terrorists often use munitions with remote detonation or sensitive motion sensors.

If you spot any suspicious objects that look like drones or rocket parts, you must not go near them or touch them.

You must immediately move to a safe distance and call specialists at “101” or “102.”
