Explosions were heard in Crimea; reports indicate a strike near the airfield
Explosions were heard again in the temporarily occupied Crimea on the evening of April 16 and during the night of April 17.
According to reports on local social media, a powerful “strike” was recorded in the area of the airfield at Cape Chersonese near Sevastopol.
“Many explosions in the area of the Belbek and Kacha airfields. A powerful strike in the area of the airfield at Cape Chersonese and a glow,” the post reads.
It is noted that in Feodosia, explosions and gunfire began at 10:25 p.m. on April 16, followed by a powerful explosion. The Kerch Bridge was closed.
Air defense forces destroyed 147 out of 172 Russian drones; strikes were recorded in several regions.
In the Desnianskyi district of Kyiv, law enforcement officers discovered the warhead of a Russian Iskander-K missile. A controlled destruction of the munition is planned at the site.
On the night of April 15, three people were injured in Dnipro and the surrounding region as a result of Russian drone strikes, and damage to civilian infrastructure was reported.
